Meet our Team
Amreen Bora, RD, LD
Founder and Owner
I am a registered dietitian that grew up in Round Rock, TX and practice in Austin, TX. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where I received my Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences.
Throughout my dietetic career, I have treated adults and adolescents in various levels of care in the acute, long-term, and outpatient settings. I previously worked at Baylor University Medical Center treating individuals in the medical, intensive care, and oncology and bone marrow transplant units. I have years of experience treating individuals struggling with eating disorders at the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. There, I was able to help support and guide individuals and their families as they entered recovery.
My non-diet approach incorporates intuitive eating, a balanced relationship with movement, and an “all foods fit” philosophy. I believe in providing compassionate, trauma informed, and individualized nutritional counseling to help my clients meet their goals. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, along with their families. As one of the few BIPOC eating disorder dietitians, I love working with BIPOC clients as food, body image, and health can be so nuanced with different cultures and backgrounds. I love helping people create a healthy relationship with food, their bodies, and mind.
As the owner of Bora Nutrition, I’m proud to lead and work with some of the best dietitian / nutritionists in Austin, Texas!
Kamran Khan, RD, LD
I’m a non-diet Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Austin, TX. I have a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin.
I have helped college athletes at the Texas Athletic Nutrition Center in achieving their performance nutrition goals and have provided nutrition therapy across multiple levels of care at the Ascension Seton Medical Center and an eating disorder treatment facility. I have years of experience providing trauma informed care to individuals with eating disorders. In this work, I have realized my love for helping others heal their relationships with food, while also developing a personal understanding of the role that food plays in our lives.
I genuinely believe in intuitive eating and the “all foods fit” philosophy, and enjoy working with individuals to incorporate a non-judgemental approach to food and movement in their own lives. I work with adolescents and adults, and provide individualized care to help people meet their goals.
Shannon Sullivan, RD, LD
I am a non-diet registered dietitian based in Austin, TX. I received my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and completed my dietetic internship at the University of Texas at Austin. I use she/her pronouns and enjoy baking, dancing, and going to concerts in my free time.
Working with diverse communities in my career has shaped my dietary philosophy. I have seen the significance of having a nutrition approach rooted in food justice, which prioritizes people’s right to have access to food, the types of food they want, and a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. I am excited to apply these principles now at a more individualized level in counseling by centering my clients’ needs and striving to make our counseling sessions a judgment-free zone.
My nutrition philosophy is strongly influenced by intuitive eating, body liberation, and all-foods-fit principles. I am honored to work with individuals on their exploration of their relationship to food, movement, and their bodies. I look forward to working with adolescents and adults and supporting them through nutritional counseling.
Andrea Mayo, RD, LD
I am a dedicated dietitian with a passion for helping individuals build a mindful and balanced relationship with food. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Dietetics from Western Kentucky University, where I also competed as a Division I collegiate soccer player.
In addition to optimizing performance through proper fueling strategies, I am passionate about guiding athletes toward a positive relationship with food and their bodies. I believe that sustainable success comes not just from physical training but from nourishing both the body and mind in a way that supports overall well-being.
I have extensive experience in chronic disease management, with years of experience in acute and long term care, as well as dialysis. I integrate the principles of intuitive eating into my counseling, empowering clients to trust their bodies and embrace a more conscious, yet gentle approach to nutrition. I firmly believe that all foods have a place in a balanced diet and that healing one’s relationship with food is essential for lasting wellness.
